You will get to see the movie before everyone else does, fill out a survey, and the results will be used to tell Malaysian youths if they should watch it or not! Want to be a movie tastemaker? I've watched this movie. I think its a great one. I watched Quarantine with my bf and it got us screaming like kids. :P haha. I dislike the ending though. Its kinda 'tergantung' I think. Overall, I like it. :D
Reply this commentIn case you were wondering what kind of review I made. Since the movie plays things about a pathogenic virus, I seems to have an obligatory to discuss about it since I am a biomedical student. So far, the flaws I noted are only in the medical part and I am quite satisfied with the movie. But I think the brain sampling should be made to be a) shave the hair at the site b) drill several holes, minimum 4 b) incised the skin and to cut the skull cap, use the cutter (the one used to cut ceramic or the thing that cut Jigsaw's neck in Saw 3) c) take a whole lot of brain section and take all the brain tissue the size of a block into your sterilized hands.. hwahahah.. it usually done to dead things and people use CSF sampling instead but its a horror movie, they should be more daring about it... sigh... even the CDC are reduced to laughingstock, I mean, guns??? Hello... we are scientist!! We use TNTs!! Ok... its a movie but they should be more imaginative since its 'do or die' situation anyway..... Smart disease control ppl should blow the building up to prevent a killer disease to be epidemic, nuff said. But actually, viruses die if the host are dead and since its actually parasitic, no food --> dead. Thats why it is NOT possible for a virus to cause a person to be zombie-fied after they are dead. But some horror movie need to be medically inaccurate so I let this one out. lol
I don't want to touch about the movie making since I think it was good by its own, it doesn't need much of the editing part since the video are meant to go on and on and because of that, I gave it a near perfect rating since it doesn't need a BGM and far away scenic scenes to make the movie interesting and of course, it was filled to the brim with gore.. lol.. who doesnt love that? The concept of camera handling is near to Blair Witch Project+Cloverfield but it doesn't give any of the nausea thing since the movie doesn't use hand camera, thank god. The movie seems to adhere more to psychological horror in the in-between gore scenes and it gives more effect to the audience than average movies. So I think its a good job done anyway. And thank god I watch a movie in the cinema that have only a word to be censored and the rest is in its raw form. I never did enjoy an 18PL movie this way before. Its an over the top gore and theres some scenes I actually had to watch between my fingers or risk a heart attack but then I do noticed that there is under 18 ppl who watch with us on that time. Certainly they have no problem. LoL
Plus, they are many bloopers in actually reporting and camera handling, so I don't really mind the B-movie theme in the beginning of the story since to me it doesn't give an effect the overall movie ratings. Its just the icing.
And if they are making Qrntn 2, I just hope it doesn't fall into the graces to a D-movie like most horror sequels do. But I do need more blood and gore.. hwahaha...

I just watched this thriller yesterday. I LOVE this movie because it's great n real!! the story is not much different from the existing thriller b4. just add sum more pening2 parts because this film looked like it's filemed by just a camera...handy one!! SO DAMN PENING!! ramai gak yg kwar awal dari panggung sebab TAK TAHAN PENING...LOL
Anyway, I recomend this thriller...cepat pegi tengok!! BEST!!!

Why it’s HOT: In my own opinion, I found this movie a bit different than other thriller movies. It is like watching a reality tv show because every angles in this story is taken by using the cameraman’s camera (Angela’s cameraman.), who is also part of the cast in this movie. So, it’s almost real when he runs, or try to hide from something because it also makes us wanna stay quiet or even breathing, because the situation makes us believe that we are actually together with them! DAMN! LOL!
Why it’s NOT: The ending was kinda left me asking, if it’s going to have a Quarantine 2. You will figure that!. And at the beginning of the story, you could find yourself watching a documentary show about living in a firestation. So, I was sleepy. If they made that scene a little more longer, I would have fall asleep.. zzzzzzzz

anyway, how to get the stuffs? need to go to the HQ meh? BTW, I think I want to do a Resident Evil cosplay, somehow it fits with the knife, the torchlight and the rest. Or maybe silent hill... *Curious*
